Control Room Operator

Duties

• Monitor alarm activations and CCTV systems • Dispatch and coordinate response vehicles • Communicate with clients, security officers and emergency services • Monitor radio and telephone communications • Record incidents and operational activities accurately • Follow emergency and escalation procedures • Maintain detailed occurrence book and control-room records • Remain calm and professional during emergencies

Minimum requirements

• Valid PSIRA registration – Grade C or higher • Certified copy of South African ID • Updated CV • Clear criminal record • Previous control-room experience preferred • Computer literacy • Good telephone and radio communication skills • Strong attention to detail • Able to work under pressure • Able to work day and night shifts • Reliable transport to and from work • Neat, professional appearance and sober habits
